What is the Coggin Delegation?
The Coggin Delegation is an international group that brings together domestic and exchange students to enhance cultural learning while at ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ. Offered through the International Business Flagship Program, the Coggin Delegation gives ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ students and international exchange students the opportunity to share experiences, practice language skills, and expand their networks across countries.
ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ domestic student members are able to:
- Welcome the international exchange students to ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ and help them adapt to American - and Jacksonville - culture.
- Meet students from the country where they plan to study abroad and learn about their host culture before arrival.
- Experience internationalization at home by gaining skills, such as intercultural communication, foreign language, empathy, perspective-taking, critical thinking, and an overall global mindset.
Coggin Delegation Activities
The student leaders of the group plan events, so each semester is unique. Past events have included a day at the Osprey Challenge Course and Zip Line, a trip to St. Augustine's Night of Lights, attending a ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Homecoming basketball game, going to on-campus lectures and Coggin club meetings, joining pickup soccer games, having picnics at the beach, and more.
ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ domestic students who are part of the Coggin Delegation are expected to complete the following, at minimum:
- Contact their international buddy prior to the buddy's arrival at ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ;
- Attend at least three Coggin Delegation events during the semester with their buddy:incoming exchange student orientation, typically the Saturday before classes begin,
- Participate in at least one Coggin study abroad outreach event during the semester.

Joining the Coggin Delegation
Coggin's international exchange students are automatically enrolled in the program before they arrive at ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ. Current ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ students can simply join the in Microsoft Teams to begin participating. We look forward to meeting you!
