Exchange Program Credit Conversions

The charts below are intended to assist students studying abroad through the Coggin College of Business at one of ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ's exchange partner universities.  Each institution has its own credit system which must be translated into ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ's credit system.  While this is a general guide, credits awarded by ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ for specific courses may vary slightly by college or discipline.  Students should contact their study abroad advisor and refer to their individual learning agreements for official credit conversions.

These conversion charts are based on input from ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ partner universities and , and they are only valid for ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ students transferring courses back from an exchange program at a ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ partner university, through the Coggin College of Business.  Click the subheadings below to view details.

  • European Credit Transfer System (ECTS)

    Many Western European (and some non-European) universities use the European Credit Transfer System or ECTS. One ECTS point or credit is generally equivalent to 25-30 hours of university study, contact hours and self-study hours combined.

  • Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme (CATS)

    Most UK universities use the Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme or CATS. One CATS point or credit is generally equivalent to 10 hours of university study, contact hours and self-study hours combined.
